Relax and enjoy a drink in our spacious bar with stunning views across Mounts Bay. Then move through to our pirate themed restaurant complete with galleons and pirates climbing the rigging above your heads.

Branwells Mill is steeped in history. Originally a mill and corn store as its name suggests, when it was built it was only about fifty metres from the quay and windjammers from as far afield as Russia brought cereals to the mill. Later on, Alf Parker developed it into a department store and also made world class banjos in a small factory on the top floor. Their trademark was a small abalone seahorse set into the head piece.

The building was converted again by the Cornish Mead Company in the nineteen eighties. The Meadery, located on the top floor and conveniently served by a lift, opened in 1989.

The Meadery is a lively fun venue with where you can eat with your fingers off wooden serving platters served by costumed serving wenches so come on down and enjoy the atmosphere. A salad bar and vegetarian options are also available.

A private room is available for special events.

The Meadery is located conveniently opposite Penzance railway station. There is also a large public car park across the road.
